you can tell she’s working through a lot of ideas there. notice the tension she creates by leaving the interesting part of the shot every-so-slightly out of focus. and how about some abstractish light-painting:

dina is too cool
A couple of weeks ago, Dina restyled Bassie’s lunchbox:
I thought this might have been by chance (cf. U2′s ubiquitous Elevation Tour heart-in-a-suitcase logo [nicer but small one here]), but when I asked her what she made, she said “That’s Uncle Matt’s favorite band.” I’m still not sure if she was consciously playing on the heart-in-a-suitcase motif (which she has undoubtedly seen on posters at her grandparents’ house), but I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt on that extra coolness.
