am i the only one that finds the youtube clips from the iranian protests subtly bizarre? you have to watch closely. a good example is this one. i narrate it this way. (1) we’re gonna kick you off your motorbike, you police-state stooge. (2) bike on fire… righteous! (3) nothing personal… have some water…. you okay?

i think there’s a deep cultural disconnect that comes out if you watch these videos… i truly can’t understand what i see. here’s another example… my narration… (1) i’m gonna hit you with a club. (2) i’m gonna kick you. (3) no! don’t hit me!… oh… i hope my bus comes on time.

Here‘s a new Weird Al video and song that some people I know say is funny… decide for yourself. It’s about craigslist.

Also, I’ve just found my pick for Best Alternative Rock Song… it’s Wilco’s “Country Disappeared” from their new album, Wilco (The Album). Btw, that’s the pick for what will win, not the actual best song. Also, beware that Wilco songs peak the first or second time you listen to them closely.. you’re like, “That’s awesome!”… and it’s all downhill from there.
