the principle of justification through “where would you want to go and why?” geez… i never realized that without philosophy courses our kids wouldn’t have that part of them asking why things happen. and how novel to suggest we might encourage it! let’s get them all the funding they need.

relatedly, i meant to post something on the recent study showing that kids put in “easy-to-cheat” contexts cheat more if they’ve been recently exposed to deterministic philosophy (or particular examples of it, anyway) and less if they’ve been exposed to free-will oriented argumentation (or particular examples of it, anyway)… but i figured you all knew about it. if not, google: free-will, determinism, cheating

lock up the rights to “i think therefore you’re dumb.” it’s catchy, and the literal phrase returns zero google hits.

The real children who need this course are the one’s who ask their parents things like “Do you think there is a highest number”, and get answers like “Who gives a shit.”
