As the article says: “It’s almost too easy”. Although I think the gay-ness of Adam might be deliberate so as to be a contrast to the date-rapingly masculine He-Man. It may speak more to male apprehensions regarding their then limited choices in terms of gender identity. If only Adam could have just been a metrosexual, rather than overtly faggy, we might have avoided all of that 80s gay-bashing.
