roundup
i’ve had a busy week or so and haven’t had time to post much, but that doesn’t mean i haven’t been collecting interesting links. here’s another roundup-style post to get those links off my desktop:
- does MLB own its statistics?
- full body teleportation system patent. and yes, patent law is broken, but maybe this will help? probably not.
- 24 is totally fake, at least the clock is. but jack never sleeps, goes to the bathroom, and only drinks water. that’s true.
- family, don’t look at this, because i’m going to give all of you these for presents: photoblocks
- [soon-to-be-former] JTS Chancellor Schorsch goes out with a bang, the Conservative Movement about to go out with a whimper.
- pigeons can think in logarithms, but you can’t!
- Nevaeh is a stupid name, but so are a lot of popular names. Dina’s English name is actually “Eman”, and Bassie’s is “Elamef”. Now you know, fool.

i was really excited about that wormhole patent, when i first started looking at it. Of course, i expected it to b either very ambiguous, or completely insane. But for a while there it seemed believable enough, until…
” The smoke flows through the wormhole and appears in a hyperspace co-dimension. It was this experiment that resulted in making first contact with the androids of the Grey aliens who told me, in a remote viewing session, that ‘We saw you blowing smoke into hyperspace.’ ”
Too bad. Guess I still need my car.
