well, i didn’t even know that brad pitt wanted to be an architect, but somehow he got to stand next to Frank Gehry and hold a glue gun. Wow. He’s made it.
Here is some food for thought on this, the 3rd day of tishrei:
Today I took a peek at the wikipedia entry on fasting (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fasting). I was particularly intrigued by this sentence: Fasting for religious and spiritual reasons has been a part of human custom since pre-history. My response: How do you know, buddy?!
seems like lots of fun stuff happened just before yosefblog took a few days off for Rosh Hashanah. So, here’s a quick roundup for y’all:
first off, let’s all give it up for the world’s newest future-yosefblogger, Penelope Harriet White. Congrats, Zach and Marna! And the name is beautiful. If it had been a boy, I would have expected you to name him after Superman, but for a girl, I think you picked just right.
In other news, some guy decided to make a table showing how much money you’d actually “make” if you followed the investment advice of your spam. Fun, but I wish he’d include charts, showing the dates when the spam was sent, so you could see how many people actually buy based on these schemes. Do the spammers just wait for an initial rise and sell off before it crashes? How do they gain? Won’t the SEC hunt them down? Well, at least their family pictures won’t suffer.
I’m sure this guy’s day didn’t turn out as he expected.
the truth about quicksand. (btw, that’s the name of my new retro-grunge band.)
India’s Ghost Man. If he came to America, he could do his show without any makeup.
a nice collection of funny funny.
Shana Tova!
In case you missed this picture documenting the aftermath of a colossal wildlife mêlée. Not for young children.

So that hidden message in pi isn’t that impressive, but did you know that it says “michael george mcclain is awesome” in there somewhere.
thinking of this, i propose a contest. if someone can find something cooler in code or a funnier math joke then you will have the honour to be the last person to post on this dying blog. have fun.
adios
