go sox

is this picture real? well, maybe. but i trust it much more than this crappy article in the suntimes. for example:
54 percent [of Sox fans] drank beer within the last month, compared with 47 percent of Cubs supporters
47% of cubs fans? BS. who did they interview for this survey?
a perfectly cromulent list
wikipedia has a fun list of neologisms and phrases from the simpsons. unfortunately, it doesn’t list my alternate spelling of kwyjibo [qwizhebeu], which i tried to use last week.
The (video game formerly known as) Prince of Persia is back

well, even though it’s not the new one….this is pretty cool
google maps finally saves the day

finally googe maps is being used for something useful: someone has linked it to the National UFO Reporting Center and created this gem of a site. it really trumps all those “toy” google map hacks like crime or traffic.
supernatural ghost video

this is making its way around the net as an email forward:
READ THE STORY FIRST BEFORE YOU OPEN THE ATTACHMENT>> Strange but interesting. This is a car advertisement from Great Britain.
>> When they finished filming the ad, the film editor noticed something moving along the side of the car, like a ghostly white mist. They found out that a person had been killed a year earlier in that exact same spot. The ad was never put on TV because of the unexplained ghostly phenomenon.
>> Watch the front end of the car as it clears the trees in the middle of the screen and you’ll see the white mist crossing in front of the car then following it along the road….Spooky!
>> Is it a ghost, or is it simply mist? You decide.
>> If you listen to the ad, you’ll even hear the cameraman whispering in the background about it near the end of the commercial. So turn up the sound!
A little creepy but pretty cool!
i’m pretty much convinced it’s fake, but check it out for yourself.
monopoly
well, i didn’t have the patience to read this article about probabilities in monopoly, but it might help you, since you don’t have any intuition. but you still won’t win. matt will. his superior predator-prey strategy is unstoppable.
