It doesn’t take a cryptozoologist to ask the question: Are ghosts real? But I think an even better question is: are these guys for real?

Midnight

Sunday, February 20th, 2005

Here is an interesting question for everybody: Mugwois should not be fed after midnight, right? Is that 12:00, or the halfway through the night time hours? Perhaps yosef can shed some light on the subject. Thanks in advance

Robots Almost Fit to Rule World

Sunday, February 20th, 2005

In my physics class my wonderfull teacher Jim Frogge got me quite interested in the concept of perpetual motion devices, and although I feel that they are just science fiction devices, I have put alot of thought into the construction of one. While looking through wierd websites I found this

The best part is that one of the robots has my girlfriends name. I’m sure basya would love it if she got one of those for her birthday.

contest #1 and #2 summary and results

Saturday, February 19th, 2005

well, the last votes are in, and with 95% of presincts reporting:

  • dovid wins contest #1 (the bottom 0.3%) with his fabulous ebay post of a foil ball. julie’s submission of a signed michael bolton photo was disqualified since she herself didn’t sell this on ebay, but this is definitely bottom 0.3% material. (and my own entry wasn’t eligible)
  • michael was the first to correctly answer contest #2.3, which was a not-so-obscure allusion to the best movie in the world (actually in a 26-way tie), at least as far as i thought when i was 12
  • for #2.1, the number sequence question, although amibugous as always, i would have accepted alternate answers of 8064, 48000, or 4480. nonetheless, this didn’t prevent tybor from coming out of the nowhere to sieze the gold with the correct answer (also to #2.2) of 40320 via personal email. a true cinderella story.

Therefore, I’m happy to announce that dovid, michael, and tybor will be given the responsibility to regail us, in the form of temporary always-revokable guest blogging accounts. I’m also throwing in a guest blogging account for shais, in this hopes that this will get him to give up his yosefblog boycott.
